We at Valley Packaging Industries (VPI) continue to monitor the developments related to COVID-19. As the situation evolves, our continued focus will be on the safety and well-being of our employees, their families, and our customers.
As stated previously, if you are feeling ill, please call in sick and stay home. In response to our nation’s public health emergency, the CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/) provided specific guidelines to keep your health risk low and focus on preventing the spread of the COVID-19; please continue to follow these guidelines.
As for our business overall, we are in alignment with how our customers are handling this situation, and VPI is open for business at all of our facilities. The CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/) continues to characterize the risk of exposure to the American public as low, and we will continue to be diligent in the cleaning of our common areas.
Schools will now start to close throughout Wisconsin starting this week as an important preventative measure. As a result, we know some VPI employees may need to make new childcare arrangements, or may need a more flexible work schedule to make things work for them. VPI is committed to working with employees that may have unique needs in order to balance their work and personal situations.
Thank you for your understanding and your commitment to health and safety. We are continuing to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and will provide updates as new information becomes available. This is a very fluid situation at this point, and we are committed to providing our employees and customers with updates as the situation evolves.
