For products that require direct exposure and handling, Valley Packaging Industries of the Fox Cities, Wisconsin, area features 16,000 square feet of isolated packaging space separate from the main production floor. Packaging equipment and surfaces in this white-room environment are sanitized regularly and cleanliness procedures - such as washing hands and wearing lab coats - are enforced immediately upon entrance.

Isolated Packaging Area:

• Movable walls for custom packaging
• Wash-up room with three-station sink and issued lab coats, hairnets, etc.
• Meets WDA and FDA requirements
• Three BAGSTARs for high-speed "gusset bag" sealing

• CONFLEX sealer/bagger with LANTEC heat tunnel
• DOBOY "STRATUS" fin seal wrapper; speeds dependent on product
• ADCO carton gluers; speeds up to 2,000 / hour
• Three BAGSTAR "gusset bag" sealers; speeds up to 750 bags / hour
• Three AMSCO bag sealers (rotary cutoff); speeds up to 1,500 / hour
• One BANDRITE band sealer 3/4" band seal with deboss date code
