Evaluations and Vocational Rehab Services

Valley Packaging Industries (VPI) of Appleton, Wisconsin, offers a Vocational Evaluation Program to help individuals identify their strengths, interests and goals for workforce employment. The evaluation can last from 10 to 30 days.

Providing support related to vocational rehab, evaluations are individualized and may consist of:

• Vocational / Psychometric testing
• Career exploration
• Situational assessments carried out under actual working conditions at VPI
• Community work site evaluations as appropriate

The end result is to establish vocational recommendations for independent work on the basis of an individual’s:

• Job interests
• Work behaviors and abilities
• Aptitudes
• Physical endurance and work tolerance
• Social interactions

Next Steps for Workforce Employment

Upon completion, a staffing is held to discuss evaluation results as well as future planning, vocational rehab and objectives for workforce employment.
